In the Volksoper quarter in the 9th district in Vienna, an ordinary retail store was converted into an impressive loft in industrial look with a special ambience. In the course of the renovation dividing walls were pulled down, the old brick walls got exposed and the suspended ceiling was removed, so that the room height was doubled to about 5 meters. The raw asphalt floor, visible steel beams and a concrete panel wall emphasize the industrial character of the store.
