The draft for the new construction of the high-rise buildings of the Wienerwaldbad Purkersdorf includes urban planning, architectural and functional aspects.

The urban situation on Fürstenberggasse is redefined by the compact, independent structure. The strikingly cantilevered upper floor roofs over the entrances to the lido and fitness area, the new planted forecourt with seating possibilities invites to linger.

The first floor, as the base area, houses all the rooms serving the lido, such as the changing rooms, cafeteria, buffet, etc. The building always allows exciting insights, perspectives and views.

The new fitness and wellness area with an all-round view of the lido and the Vienna Woods is located on the upper floor. The newly created room sequences, the differentiated lighting and the interplay between indoor and outdoor spaces offer the highest quality of lingering within the area.

The competition took place in cooperation with HÜBNER ZT GMBH.
